Everybody wants flat, tight abs, but nobody wants to have to do old-fashioned sit-ups or crunches to get them. Not only are sit-ups and crunches often uncomfortable and even painful to do, they don't necessarily target the right muscle groups to give you truly flat, tight abs. Luckily, there is a more painless alternative called crunchless abs. Traditional sit-ups or abdominal crunches have you lay on the floor and partially or fully sit up, with your hands behind your head or your arms crossing your chest. Repetitions of this maneuver often cause great discomfort or pain in the neck or back, which are unsupported. Fortunately, the crunchless abdominal routine works quite differently.

Many of the workout moves on the crunchless abs DVD are done standing or using a chair instead of laying flat on the floor. This is intended to work your abs while being a bit easier on the neck and back. The main DVD for this program will contain three to six, 10-minute workout routines. You may choose to use as few or as many of the routines as you wish. While the main DVD stands alone, there are also others which comprise an entire crunchless abdominal workout DVD series.
